How it works

  1. Enroll in Battery Power Share by emailing BatteryPowerShare@directenergy.com.
  2. When enrolling, set your battery's threshold and we will always keep your charge above that level.
  3. Do two things to enable your battery for the program.
    - Contact the utility provider for your area, such as Oncor or CenterPoint, and set up a utility interconnection agreement.
    - Connect your home battery to Wi-Fi. Consult the owner's manual for your battery for the steps to do that.
  4. Get a $50 bill credit every month. You'll see your bill credit itemized in the Energy Charges section of your monthly statement.
